The MCP4017/8/9 devices are volatile, 7-bit (128 wiper steps) digital potentiometers with an I2C™Compatible interface. This family offers 5kΩ, 10kΩ, 50kΩ or 100kΩ end-to-end resistance values and is available in miniature 5 or 6 lead SC-70 packaging with potentiometer or rheostat pinouts.
